Anyone can make an app for Android phones?

Internet giant Google introduced a platform App Inventor, whereby each user can create applications for mobile operating system Android.

Through a simple interface based on the different "blocks" to determine how the creature will look like and what we can do.

Besides the basic telephony functions such as telephoning and text messaging, utilities will be able to liaise with external databases, using GPS receiver and even the device to work with web applications.

In this way, can create complex and functional applications such as mobile social networks for customers.

App Inventor is the work of Harold Abelsan of MIT, who in his spare time working for Google.

He said such a project could be implemented on the iPhone, because Apple's creators have very strict requirements for software, which made applications for the device.

Abelsan said that Google's Android offers a radically different attitude to developers, especially by giving them more freedom.

Currently, App Inventor is still in beta and not all users can try their luck as creators of mobile content.

During the test period, students have created many interesting applications, ranging from a program that every 15 minutes sending a list of numbers the user location to automatic answering machine.

Android is still after the operating system on Apple's popularity among developers, even in democratic politics of Google.

Panic Button keeps teens on Facebook

The biggest social network Facebook join forces with a British agency for child protection to reduce risk to young consumers, announced AFP.

New application called ClickCEOP, thus allowing each teen to seek help if they become subject to any threat.

Peculiar panic button gives users full access to its services to protect children from online exploitation and protection CEOP, which can be reported suspicious behavior related to online fraud, hackers and pedophiles.

Advertising ClickCEOP will appear on the front pages of all Facebook users who have expressed aged between 13 and 18 years, they would be required only to add the application to obtain protection.

The emergence of clickCEOP is kind of dent in Facebook's position on the safety of personal data. Last year social networking became the subject of numerous criticisms, after 17-year-old girl was kidnapped and killed by the rapist, delivered to its peer web.

Then from Facebook said that their own mechanisms for protection of personal data are secure enough and refused assistance from other organizations.

So-called "panic buttons", giving access to young consumers to protect their rights institutions are used by competitors of Facebook - Bebo and MySpace.

Gotta ask the question though – given the opportunity why did they make it such a pain in the arse to activate multisite?
